Applied AI compresses what a company is. Smaller teams, shorter cycles, narrower wedges, larger surface area per operator. The constraint that used to be capital is now taste.

Finis Ventures is a holding company for software businesses built under that constraint. We are stage-agnostic in the way that phrase is rarely meant: we build from zero, and we hold long.

We operate as one studio across portfolio. Engineering, design, distribution, finance — held in common, deployed across companies as they need it. Shared infrastructure, separate cap tables.

We do not announce. The portfolio is the work, not a list. If a company we build is interesting to you, you will already know it by name.

We are interested in daily-use software, regulated edges of consumer life, and the parts of small-business operations that still run on spreadsheets and faxes. We have a bias toward categories where the AI is the product, not a feature.

We do not chase secular themes. We chase obvious gaps that no one has had the patience to close.

Self-funded. Operator-led. Profit-bearing where it can be, patient where it cannot.

We do not raise outside capital for individual portfolio companies until the company tells us we should.
